Canadian Permanent Residency Card’s are valid for a period of 5 years.
To renew Permanent Residency Cards, Applicants must spend 730 days inside Canada within 5 years.

Spend 3 years inside of Canada within the 5 years immediately before their Application
Attain English or French Language proficiency - overall Level 4

Process & Timeline

Step One
Week 1-2
Complete ChapterTwo internal forms to confirm Program Eligibility & Admissibility.
ChapterTwo will provide Applicants with a customized Document Checklist.

Step Two
Month 1 - 2
Gather all requisite documents to establish eligibility, and attain Certified Translations.
Enter into Investment Agreement with a Financial Intermediary as designated by the Ministere and with Investissement Quebec Immigrants Investisseurs Inc.

Step Three
Month 3-4
Open a File with the Government of Quebec.
Obtain attestation of learning about democratic values and Quebec values.
Make investment and financial contribution within 120 days of request by the Government of Quebec

Step Four
Month 4-6
Obtain Notice of Intention to Select upon approval by the Government of Quebec.
Apply for a Canadian Work Permit and enter Quebec.

Step Five
Year 1
After 12 months in Quebec, and within 2 years of attaining Canadian Work Permit, submit Application to the Government of Quebec. Payment of Application Fees due.
Undergo Interview with Quebec Immigration authorities, and obtain Quebec Selection Certificate.

Step Six
Year 2-4
Submit Application for Permanent Residency to Federal Immigration Authorities.
After three years of residency inside of Canada, undergo English or French language test and Citizenship Test.
Submit Application for Canadian Citizenship.
